I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July with family and friends. This year makes the holiday even more special as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding. It’s a great time to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy and the communities we’re fortunate to be a part of.
I also want to say thank you to the FRVTA staff for another great Tampa Summer RV Show. These events don’t just happen overnight, and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making them successful. Now that the show is behind us, everyone is focused on getting ready for our Annual State Convention.
If you’ve never attended the FRVTA Convention, I encourage you to give it a try this year. We’ll be at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs September 10–13, and it’s one of the few times each year that every part of our industry comes together. Whether you’re in sales, service, parts, accounting, management, own an RV resort, or work for a supplier or manufacturer, there’s something to take away. The educational sessions are valuable, but just as important are the conversations you have with other members who face the same challenges and opportunities you do. Those connections often end up being the most valuable part of the week.
On a personal note, I’ll be taking part in the Shriners Imperial Session Parade through Ybor City on July 14. I’ll be driving one of the Shriners vehicles, and I’m really looking forward to it. If you’re in the Tampa area, I hope you’ll come out and watch the parade which lines up at 6pm and steps off at 7pm. It should be a great event, and it’s always nice to support an organization that does so much for children and their families. Here is the parade route: 2026 Parade Route
I hope you have a wonderful July, and I look forward to seeing many of you in Bonita Springs this September.
Warm regards,
Sean Thompson
