Message from the President
This week, members of the Executive Board are attending the Florida-Alabama Campground Association Convention. It’s been a great opportunity to connect, and our new Executive Director, Ken Loyd, had the chance to speak about FRVTA and the strong relationship between our organizations. We’re looking forward to working more closely together moving forward and building on that partnership.
We also held our Board meeting last month, and you’ll see some proposed updates to our bylaws coming forward for discussion at the July Board meeting. We’ll be sharing more details as those are finalized.
On the home front, Dave Kelly has officially retired after many years of dedicated service, and Ken has stepped into the role leading the State Office. We appreciate everything Dave has done for FRVTA and are excited for what’s ahead under Ken’s leadership.
Workforce development continues to be a focus, with more job fairs coming up across the state. These events are a great way to connect with potential talent and support the future of our industry.
Looking ahead, the Tampa Summer RV Show is coming up in June and is always a strong event for our members. We’re also planning a trip to Elkhart to meet with manufacturers as we continue preparing for the Florida RV SuperShow.
And finally, don’t forget to save the date for our Annual Convention in September. More details will be coming soon, but it’s always one of the best opportunities of the year to connect, learn, and spend time with others in the industry.
