Dear FRVTA Members,

Summer is officially here, and with it comes a busy season for our industry. Whether you’re selling RVs, running a campground, servicing units, or supporting the RV lifestyle in another way, this is a critical time to connect with customers and make an impact. I want to thank you for all the work you’re doing to keep Florida a leader in the RV world.

This month, we’re looking forward to the Tampa Summer RV Show, taking place June 19–23 at the Florida State Fairgrounds. It’s a great mid-year opportunity for dealers to move inventory, for vendors to connect with RV enthusiasts, and for consumers to explore the latest models and products. If you’re participating—thank you. If you’re attending, we look forward to seeing you there.

If you have students in your family or organization pursuing higher education, don’t forget that FRVTA scholarship applications are due soon. This member benefit helps support the next generation and reflects our commitment to both professional and personal growth across the industry. Visit frvta.org for details and the application form.

Investing in technician training remains a top priority. This summer, we’ll continue offering Lippert and LP training sessions across the state. We’ll be sending out updated schedules shortly, so keep an eye on your inbox and make sure your techs get registered early—these classes fill up quickly.

We’re excited to announce that registration for the 2025 FRVTA State Convention will be opening soon. The convention will take place September 4-7 and is an excellent chance to network with peers, learn about industry trends, and celebrate our collective success. We’ll be sharing full details and registration links shortly.

Be sure to check out the recent article we shared on LP licensing requirements in Florida. Staying up to date on regulations is key to staying compliant and competitive. The article is available in our member resources section and provides a helpful overview for dealers and technicians alike.

If you haven’t heard it yet, I highly recommend listening to this recent podcast featuring Curtis Hemmeler: Make $100K as an RV TECH. Curtis offers powerful insights into career growth, training opportunities, and how we can all help elevate the profession of RV service.

As always, your FRVTA team is here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do to help your business succeed. Wishing you a successful and profitable June.

Warm regards,
Sean Thompson
President, FRVTA Board of Directors
