As we continue to strive for excellence within the RV Industry.  Ensuring we are moving forward on important initiatives for our state is top of mind.  In April FRVTA welcomed the opportunity to sponsorship our 1st annual all women’s Level 1 certification class this summer during the month of July.

The RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), in partnership with the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), kicked off the first of five all-female RV technician training courses in March. Through the partnership, classes will be offered across the United States, including classes in Texas, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Indiana.

“We know that women have been making incredible contributions to the RV industry for such a long time. Acknowledging and celebrating those accomplishments is one of the primary reasons for the founding of the RV Women’s Alliance,” said RVWA President Susan Carpenter. “Another, equally important role our organization plays are proving opportunities for women to grow their careers in the RV industry and ensure they have the resources to be successful. And that is exactly what this program with RVTI is all about.”

The future female RV techs will learn about and demonstrate knowledge of propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis systems. After completing the course and passing the tests, each woman will have a proven skill set to prepare an RV for customer delivery by verifying the operation of all components and a Level 1 RV Technical Institute certification.

“The recruitment of more women into the RV technician field is such a huge area of opportunity and this partnership provides the opportunity to teach skills to these women that will allow them to succeed and grow in this new career as an RV tech.” said Tracy Anglemeyer, RVTI Director of Recruitment and RVWA Board Member.

We are asking our members to help support and encourage the woman within your organization who are interested in a career as an RV technician or looking to further enhance their technical RV skills.  The training will be led by RVTI’s Master Certified RV Technician and Education Director, Bill Stuart. Bill has over 30 years of experience as an RV technician and management within Fixed Operations.

Upon successful completion of the Level 1 exam, the applicant will be Level 1 certified through RVTI (RV Technical Institute).

The training will be held at:
