Welcome to July everyone! Over the past few months since I have taken over officially as Executive Director, I have traveled quite a bit and attended several meetings and seminars. While all of the meetings, trips, and seminars were important, I truly believe that the most important trip was the trip to Elkhart in May with Patty Flanagan, Cole Costello, and George Grimm as we visited thirteen or fourteen OEM’s with two distinct purposes in mind, me to introduce myself to them, and get their feedback as far as the 2026 Florida RV SuperShow and discuss changes we were contemplating making for the 2027 Florida RV SuperShow.
We feel that we accomplished a great deal at those meetings and all agreed that it was something significant enough to make into an annual occurrence to build on and expand our relationship with the OEM’s.
The meetings were extremely important to me as it marked the first step for me to begin working with the OEM’s and creating relationships to build on as we move forward. I am committed to representing the FRVTA as proudly as my predecessors, Lance Wilson, and Dave Kelly have done during my time with the Association and build on our reputation as a leader in the RV industry in the state of Florida and the country.
I look forward to working with all of you and I hope to see many of you at our upcoming Convention in September in Bonita Springs.
Thank you and take care!
Ken Loyd
Executive Director
