Summer is definitely in full swing. It’s hot across Florida, but that hasn’t slowed anyone down at the State Office. The staff has been busy getting everything ready for our Fall and Winter Regional Shows while also planning ahead for the 2027 Florida RV SuperShow. It’s amazing how much work goes into these events long before the doors ever open, and I appreciate everything our team is doing to make them another success.

I also hope you’ll make plans to join us for the FRVTA State Convention, September 10–13 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. If you’ve attended before, you know it’s a great few days of learning, catching up with old friends, meeting new people, and sharing ideas with others in our industry. If you’ve never been, this is the year to give it a try. No matter what part of the business you’re in – sales, service, parts, accounting, resorts, suppliers, or manufacturing – you’ll come away with new ideas and new connections. I really hope to see you there.

On a personal note, I’ll be taking the RV up to the Ocala Shrine Rodeo and camping for the weekend. Many of you know the Ocala Shrine Club from the Ocala RV Show, where they handle the concessions every year. They do a fantastic job, and I’m looking forward to spending some time supporting a great organization that gives so much back to the community. If you’ve never been to the rodeo, it’s a fun weekend and well worth checking out.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer. Stay cool, stay safe, and I hope to see you in Bonita Springs this September.

Warm regards,

Sean Thompson
President, FRVTA Board of Directors
