Message from the President

With April here, we’re wrapping up another very successful regional RV show season across Florida. I want to personally thank Patty Flanigan, Cole Costello, and the entire show team for the incredible amount of work they put in behind the scenes. These events don’t happen without a lot of planning, long days, and teamwork, and they continue to do an amazing job delivering shows our members can be proud of.

Spring and summer are shaping up to be just as exciting, especially on the training front. We have multiple opportunities coming up, including the not-to-be-missed FPGA Safety School in Ocala and the Firefly Integrations Training Academy in Port St. Lucie. These are exactly the kinds of programs that help our members stay ahead, strengthen their teams, and continue raising the bar for service and safety.

We’re also continuing to focus on workforce development. FRVTA will be attending several promising job fairs across the state to help support our members and connect with the next generation entering the RV industry. If you hear of a strong local event in your area, please let the State Office know.

Another part of what makes this association special is the way we continue to give back. Through regional donations and our Scholarship Fund, FRVTA is able to support both our local communities and the future of our industry. Keep an eye out around your business for the scholarship poster and be sure to display it so employees and their families know about this valuable opportunity.

I also want to take a moment to recognize Dave Kelly as he prepares for retirement after 38 years of dedicated service. Dave has been such an important part of FRVTA’s growth and success over the years, and his leadership, commitment, and steady presence have made a lasting impact on all of us. We’re grateful for everything he has done and wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Thank you all again for your continued support, and I’m looking forward to everything we have ahead this spring and summer.

Warm regards,
Sean Thompson
President, FRVTA Board of Directors
