Welcome to 2023!!
The new year has begun and that means it is RV Show Season and we start it off, of course, with the biggest RV Show in the country, the 2023 Florida RV SuperShow. As I write this message, I only have the attendance numbers through Saturday, January 21st and the show has just concluded. The numbers appear to be strong compared to our last “normal” year for the show which was 2019 or aka “before covid” and attendance was a record breaking 74, 286. Based on where we were as of Saturday night, I honestly believe we will surpass that number which, in my book, makes the 2023 show a major success.
Yes, we had over 84,000 in attendance during the 2022 SuperShow but that number was an anomaly as we were just getting into a “post covid” existence and people were rampant with cabin fever and yearning to come out and attend public events again. If the 2023 SuperShow surpasses the 2019 SuperShow, I think we can all say that we hit it out of the park.
All indications are that the dealers, manufacturers, and vendors all had an extraordinarily successful show, and we are happy with the results.
Our amazing staff rose to the occasion once again, as they always do, and performed as true professionals managing every curve that was thrown at them and boy did, they have some curves thrown at them this year! None were of our own doing, but they fell into our lap for us to deal with, and they had to use their best judgement and experience to overcome those hurdles. As I stated before, they managed them with grace and professionalism as they looked out for our attendees and vendors best interests.
If you didn’t get the chance to attend the Florida RV SuperShow this year, I hope you are planning to attend or participate in one of our many regional shows that are getting ready to crank up starting with the Fort Myers RV Show running from January 26th through January 29th followed by The Jacksonville Mega RV Show, February 9th – 12th, West Palm Beach RV Show, February 16th – 19th, and the Ocala RV Show, March 2nd – 5th. Our Regional Shows allow our regional members to highlight everything their individual regions have to offer, and they are run by our excellent show staff.
